Yarn:  Blue Sky Alpacas Hand Dyed Worsted
One Skein: Aqua

Needle US 9

These knit up quite fast!  I used my US 9 circular "shorty" needle.  I chose this pattern to test knit thumb gussets which went quite well.  My plan is to knit these mitts in Debbie Bliss Chunky Alpaca to go with the Cabled Scarf I knit ... if the cable part can be easily swapped out for a match.

Regular Guy Beanie for Exceptional Guy

I like this Regular Guy Beanie pattern. It has a nice look about it.  The crown is my favorite part of this pattern; I call it a 6 point star.  The instructions are well written. 

My gauge is 4.5 stitches per inch but I don’t like knitting this yarn on US 7 so went with an 8.  I wanted it larger too so that worked out well. It measures flat about 22.5” wide not stretched and unblocked with lots of “head room” (will measure again after blocking).

Blue Sky Alpaca Worsted Hand Dyes yarn is a favorite yarn of mine.  My knitting looks flawless because the stitch definition is that great!
